Fun & Games begin at 2:00 PM! The barbecue will run from 3:30-5:00 PM.
Arrive a little earlier and work up an appetite for the picnic! Joan Aichele is leading a hike that will leave from Picnic Pavilion #5 and gets underway at 11:00 AM. See Footnotes or the on-line database for details. For those who are interested in biking there’s a bike path around the lake. Brian Bohmueller will be leading a 9:30 AM bike ride around the lake, starting at Pavilion #5 (2 laps, 12 miles). Contact him to RSVP. There is also a boat launch facility, and canoe rentals are available for others who may want to go out on the water.
The chapter will provide hot dogs, hamburgers and veggie burgers with fixings, & dessert. Participants should bring a side dish, salad or drinks that can be shared by at least 4+ people. Please also bring your equipment to play softball, volleyball, badminton, or horseshoes if you’d like.
We also request that you bring a reusable plate, utensils and a cup. This is our little bit toward becoming a little greener. Glassware and alcohol are not allowed in the park.
Well-behaved dogs are allowed but they must be kept on a leash six feet or less in length.
